SUMMARY:Urban Farm Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with our team to manage our one-acre Urban Farm! \nWhether you are new to our farm or have been a tried-and-true weekly volunteer\, come and join us! Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who volunteers with them. Individuals ages 16 & 17 can volunteer if a parent or guardian has signed a waiver. Please find a downloadable waiver here: Waiver for unaccompanied 16 & 17 year olds \nRegistration is not required but we ask that you commit at least two hours of volunteering. \nThis volunteer event is for individuals from the community and not open to groups larger than 5 people. SUMMARY:Flotsam River Circus
DESCRIPTION:Come see Flotsam River Circus on Randall’s Island on Saturday\, Sept. 13th\, and Sunday Sep. 14!\n\nFlotsam is a troupe of musicians\, circus artists\, and puppeteers traveling on a handmade raft\, giving free performances in waterfront towns along the way.\n\nThey’ll be performing at the SW side of the Island\, right by the Ward’s Island Pedestrian Bridge. Just look for the most unusual ‘boat’ on the water — that’s us!\n\nOur show is family-friendly but intended for audiences of all ages. The performance starts at 6:00 pm and will be finished before 7:30. Bring a blanket or lawn chair\, and come early for a good spot!\n\nThe show is free to attend\, but we keep this crazy project afloat through donations.
