Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Jesse Owens Track and Field Youth Program
The Randall's Island Park Alliance, in partnership with City Parks Foundation, continues to offer the Jesse Owens Track and Field Program! This free weekly track & field youth program is available to youth ages 10-16 and enables participants to learn the fundamentals of the sport and stay active. Activities will focus on running techniques for sprints and relays and will introduce other track and field activities like long jump, hurdles, and long-distance running. Animal Exploration
Young animal lovers will have the opportunity to make observations, ask questions and use their senses to discover a world filled with amazing creatures! Meet LIVE animal visitors, including incredible insects, fantastic frogs, beautiful birds, cute critters, terrific turtles, and long-tailed lizards!
