Randall’s Island Park has a rich history of hosting cultural events and continues to do so today. Throughout the year, RIPA provides numerous free drop-in programs such as walking tours, movie nights, waterfront activities and our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals. In addition, large special events, produced by independent organizations other than the City and RIPA, offer visitors a great variety of exciting options – continuing the Island’s strong tradition as a central entertainment venue for New York City.

Bike Tour – Compost ‘n’ Cycle

A bike tour with a stop at our 3-bin compost system on the 40,000 sq ft Randall’s Island Urban Farm. Along the way we’ll enjoy views of our gardens, urban farm, and wetlands! All ages and abilities are welcome. We will ride roughly 4-6 miles at a conversational pace, primarily on bike and pedestrian paths. This is a free event, but registration is requested.
