Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Birding Field Trip

For the third annual #BlackBirdersWeek, celebrate with a Birding Field Trip led by Akilah Lewis, Ronnie Almonte, and Efua Peterson at Randall’s Island Park!
The Field Trip will explore the Water’s Edge Garden, the Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh, and up to the Living Shoreline, viewing all the birds that can be found along the way! Binoculars are available to borrow if you can’t bring your own. Email [email protected] to reserve a pair.
Registration is required through Eventbrite. BIPOC community members are highly encouraged to register.
