Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Boogie Down Storytime

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until August 26, 2023
Boogie Down Storytime is a family-friendly experience that cultivates early literacy awareness through joyful reading experiences. Join us for an interactive story hour that incorporates mindful breathing, which helps build social-emotional skills, along with question and discussion activities that build community. Movement will be inspired by the week’s book selection led by a children’s yoga teacher. Hosted by Boogie Down Books. Register on Eventbrite, though walk-ins are welcome!
