Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

(Be)Tween Time – Tea Time with Jazy Clintron

(Be)Tween Time is a free monthly event series for young people ages 8-13 who want to meet and hang out with other tweens at the Randall's Island Urban Farm. Register here. We'll explore the historical, cultural, and medicinal traditions around tea, and then make and taste our own teas infused from herbs we've harvested during a tour of the Urban Farm!   Location: Urban Farm

Community Barbeque

Join Randall’s Island Park Alliance, Feminist Bird Club, and NYC Audubon in celebrating #BlackBirdersWeek. Register for the BBQ here. This event follows a Birding Field Trip lead by Akilah Lewis of Feminist Bird Club and Ronnie Almonte of Brooklyn Bird Club, happening from 11:00AM to 12:30PM. Movie Night and Picnic & Play

Bring a picnic and take your family out for a movie and a night of outdoor fun! We'll pass out art project kits and lawn games as you enjoy an evening outside and watch the movie alongside a beautiful sunset. Limited free snacks. Big Truck Day

July 16 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Come get an up-close look at the incredible vehicles working all over New York City to keep it clean and safe! Trucks of all sizes will be on site, with operators giving demonstrations and teaching everyone about the jobs they do, from firetrucks and garbage trucks, to street cleaners and dump trucks.   Location: Paved Lot Behind Icahn Stadium

(Be)Tween Time – Self Care Workshop with Jazy Clintron

(Be)Tween Time is a free monthly event series for young people ages 8-13 who want to meet and hang out with other tweens at the Randall's Island Urban Farm. Register here. Wings, Wands & Woodlands: Fairy Workshop

Join us at our woodland garden to discover all things fairy: wands, wings, and little fairy houses. Walk along our forest path to look for signs of fairies, protectors of our woods and streams! Create your own fairy crafts. Location: Fields 62/63
