DESCRIPTION:Come see Flotsam River Circus on Randall’s Island on Saturday\, Sept. 13th\, and Sunday Sep. 14!\n\nFlotsam is a troupe of musicians\, circus artists\, and puppeteers traveling on a handmade raft\, giving free performances in waterfront towns along the way.\n\nThey’ll be performing at the SW side of the Island\, right by the Ward’s Island Pedestrian Bridge. Just look for the most unusual ‘boat’ on the water — that’s us!\n\nOur show is family-friendly but intended for audiences of all ages. The performance starts at 6:00 pm and will be finished before 7:30. Bring a blanket or lawn chair\, and come early for a good spot!\n\nThe show is free to attend\, but we keep this crazy project afloat through donations. You can learn more on their website!\n\n\nCheck in on Facebook for the Sept. 13 show\nCheck in on Facebook for the Sept. 14 show\n\n\nParking in the area is limited\, so if possible\, please carpool\, bus\, bike\, kayak\, or teleport.\n\nIf you are considering arriving by boat\, please note that our show is much better viewed from shore — and we ask that no boats position themselves behind the performance.\n\n(Photo credit: Delene)

Decorate and bring home your very own pumpkin from our immersive patch\, press cider from delicious\, fresh apples\, participate in a cooking demonstration with seasonal vegetables\, enjoy live performances\, have your face painted\, and learn about nature with our partners. \nThere will be a free Bike Valet provided by Transportation Alternatives. Safely park your bikes and enjoy the festivities with ease of mind. Citi Bikes will not be included in this valet service\, so if you take a Citi Bike to the festival\, please find the nearest docking station to park\, or ask a RIPA staff member where to dock. DESCRIPTION:Kick off the summer season at Randall’s Island Park with an evening of fireworks and fun with special evening Open Hours at our Urban Farm (6:00PM-9:00PM)! There will also be activities at the East River Picnic Area from 6:30 PM until the fireworks show.  \nJoin us for self-guided exploration\, discover a variety of fruits and vegetables\, an active composting system\, and a Tot Lot designed for our youngest friends before the Astoria Park fireworks display at dusk (fireworks courtesy of Central Astoria\, LDC).
