SUMMARY:Black Birders Week Celebration: Birds & Bites
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the fifth annual #BlackBirdersWeek\, an initiative by Black AF in Stem\, with a birding walk and refreshments at Randall’s Island Park! Join renowned local birder Efua Peterson for a guided walk through the park and learn about the birds that make their home on the Island. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow first come first served. After the walk\, bring a blanket and join us for a community celebration with bites from Field Trip Harlem! \n*Black-identifying community members are highly encouraged to attend\, all allies welcome. \nThis event has two components and participants are welcome to attend one or both: \n12 – 1:30 PM –  Birds: Bird Field Trip with Efua Peterson \n1 – 3 PM –  Bites: Food\, music\, lawn games \nLocation: Harlem River Picnic Area behind Asphalt Pad \nFor inquiries about accessibility\, to request an accommodation\, or for event information\, please email publicprograms@randallsisland.org.
