SUMMARY:Black Birders Week Celebration: Birds & Bites
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate #BlackBirdersWeek at Randall’s Island Park with a day of bird-themed fun and activities! #BlackBirdersWeek is an initiative by Black AF in Stem which uplifts birders and scientists within the Black community. Join renowned local birders for a guided walk through the park and learn about the birds that make their home on the Island.  \nA limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow on a first-come\, first-served basis. This year\, we are offering two routes\, both starting at Icahn Stadium and concluding at our Living Shoreline:  \n\nFamily Friendly Route: 1.5 miles winding through our Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh \n\n\nAdvanced Route: 3 miles through our Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh and up along the Bronx Shore \n\nRegistration is recommended for the bird tours here. \nAfter the walks\, join us for a community celebration with music\, games\, and bites from a local business at our Living Shoreline!
