SUMMARY:Fall Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Join the Randall’s Island Park Alliance and our Natural Areas Team for one last push to cleanup the park while the weather is still agreeable. Volunteers will not only help with picking up litter and debris but also remove invasive species\, clean walking trail paths and other duties to put us on a good path for the winter months.  \nGloves\, tools and instructions included.  \nAll participants must sign a Waiver of Liability. Teens aged 16 and 17 years old may volunteer without adult supervision but they must bring a waiver found at this link\, signed by a parent or guardian.  \nMinors under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or adult and bring the attached waiver signed by a parent or guardian. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate #BlackBirdersWeek at Randall’s Island Park with a day of bird-themed fun and activities! #BlackBirdersWeek is an initiative by Black AF in Stem which uplifts birders and scientists within the Black community. Join renowned local birders for a guided walk through the park and learn about the birds that make their home on the Island.  \nA limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow on a first-come\, first-served basis. This year\, we are offering two routes\, both starting at Icahn Stadium and concluding at our Living Shoreline:  \n\nFamily Friendly Route: 1.5 miles winding through our Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh \n\n\nAdvanced Route: 3 miles through our Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh and up along the Bronx Shore \n\nRegistration is recommended for the bird tours here. \nAfter the walks\, join us for a community celebration with music\, games\, and bites from a local business at our Living Shoreline!
