Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

(Be)Tween Time – Plant-Based Cooking with Chef Irbania Tavares

(Be)Tween Time is a free monthly event series for young people ages 8-13 who want to meet and hang out with other tweens at the Randall's Island Urban Farm. Register here. Cocktails on the Farm

Join us for an evening on the Farm, where you will have the opportunity to meet new friends or spend time with old -- in person. We will share recipes that include ingredients picked that same day from the Urban Farm and create one-of-a-kind individualized cocktails/mocktails. (Be)Tween Time – Author Event and Doughnut Decorating with Jessie Janowitz

(Be)Tween Time is a free monthly event series for young people ages 8-13 who want to meet and hang out with other tweens at the Randall's Island Urban Farm. Register here. This event is part of the Randall's Island Children's Book Festival (12-3pm). Come meet local author Jessie Janowitz as we celebrate her books The Doughnut Fix and The Doughnut King, followed by a book signing and doughnut decorating!   Location: Urban Farm

Flower Arranging

September 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

This hands-on and interactive workshop will cover the basics of cut flower growing and sustainable floral arranging. Join farmer and florist Cassandra Cronin from Run Rig Farm Project in harvesting and arranging flowers straight from the farm and leave with a lovely arrangement or two you've created yourself. While working, discussion will center around the edible, medicinal, and ecological properties of the flowers, herbs, and foliage used in the arrangements.
