Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Cherry Blossom Tour

Join us for a guided tour to celebrate spring, the cherry blossoms, and all things in bloom! An expert horticulturist will lead a guided tour to share the history of the cherry blossoms, interesting fun facts, and more. The Randall’s Island Park Alliance maintains a variety of planted and themed gardens and landscaped areas throughout the park, all created using native species and sustainable practices. The gardens provide a beautiful and tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City.
