Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Children’s Book Festival

Join the Randall’s Island Park Alliance and Boogie Down Books for the 2nd Annual Children’s Book Festival celebrating the back-to-school season and our young readers in our lush park setting! We’ll have interactive readings, Drag Story Hour, school supply giveaways, educational activities with NYPL and the Queens Library, sweet treats, music, and more outdoor fun!
