Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Join Randall’s Island Park Alliance, Feminist Bird Club, and NYC Audubon in celebrating #BlackBirdersWeek. Register for the BBQ here. This event follows a Birding Field Trip lead by Akilah Lewis of Feminist Bird Club and Ronnie Almonte of Brooklyn Bird Club, happening from 11:00AM to 12:30PM. Registration is required and can be done here.
Help us celebrate and amplify Black Birders and Black Joy by joining our Community BBQ! Our songs, stories, and voices will sing out like the birds in the trees and skies above. Food will be available to purchase, but bring your own BBQ treats as well! So bring a blanket to lay out in the grass and join in on the games, music, and fun! Tables are limited: elders and those with physical needs will have priority.
