Randall’s Island Park has a rich history of hosting cultural events and continues to do so today. Throughout the year, RIPA provides numerous free drop-in programs such as walking tours, movie nights, waterfront activities and our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals. In addition, large special events, produced by independent organizations other than the City and RIPA, offer visitors a great variety of exciting options – continuing the Island’s strong tradition as a central entertainment venue for New York City.

Fall Bird Walk with Gabriel Willow

Randall’s Island Park is home to over 180 species of birds. Join us as we explore the Island’s restored habitates and learn about the amazing adaptions of our feathered friends on this exciting bird watching walk!
The walk will be led by Gabriel Willow. Gabriel is an experienced birder and naturalist, and is well-versed in the ecology and history of New York City. He has been leading walks for more than ten years, guiding new and experienced birders in all five boroughs and beyond.
This is a free event but registration is required. Please bring your own binoculars. Suitable for ages 16+
