Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Gardening with Wildlife Tour

The Randall’s Island Park Alliance (RIPA) maintains a variety of planted and themed gardens and landscaped areas throughout the Park, all created using native species and sustainable practices. Our urban landscapes can be an important functioning wildlife habitat that will play an important role in providing food sources and shelters. Please join our horticulturist for a Gardening with Wildlife tour and learn how we create the wildlife welcoming garden.
