Randall’s Island Park has a rich history of hosting cultural events and continues to do so today. Throughout the year, RIPA provides numerous free drop-in programs such as walking tours, movie nights, waterfront activities and our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals. In addition, large special events, produced by independent organizations other than the City and RIPA, offer visitors a great variety of exciting options – continuing the Island’s strong tradition as a central entertainment venue for New York City.

CANCELLED – Great Hudson River Fish Count

Due to inclement weather the Great Hudson River Fish Count is cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Join Naturalists along our waterfront as we strap on waders and pull nets to look for fish and other creatures that call the waters around Randall’s Island home. Participants over 13 years old will be allowed to join us in pulling the net, and everyone will get a chance to observe and learn about these fantastic creatures.
