Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Hell Gate Wildflower Meadow Tour

Let’s bring awareness of the importance of pollinators to the community. Randall’s Island Hell Gate Wildflower Meadow has been designed and managed to protect its incredible diversity of native plants and the wildlife they support. Our meadow is just about ready for peak bloom and they’re already taking visitors. A lot of pollinating insects have found their way. Please join our horticulturist for a Hell Gate Wildflower Meadow tour and learn about the native plants and the pollinators.
