Motivated by the breeze\, city and nature views\, and an engaging instructor\, participants will learn new moves and gain confidence with old ones.  \nWe’re grateful to partner with Sweet Water Dance & Yoga to bring fabulous instructors to the park. DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with Team RIVER (Randall’s Island Volunteer Ecological Restorers) and help keep Randall’s Island Park beautiful! Team RIVER Volunteers regularly work with the Natural Areas team twice a month to take care of and restore our natural spaces on the island. With our Horticulture team\, volunteers care for the many gardens\, green streets and meadows\, every second Wednesday of each month. Team RIVER also works with our Sports Field and Operations teams\, keeping our park clean and maintained. If you are only able to volunteer on a limited basis\, you are still very much welcome! \nThis volunteer opportunity is open to individuals from the community. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, August 28th\, Icahn Stadium is proud to host The Open Invite Powered by On\, a team scored 5000m race with check-in time called for 5:30 PM and the race beginning at 7:00 PM. \nThe Open Invite is a team scored\, cross-country style race with prizes up for grabs. Runners with their different teams of three will each race a 5k competing against other teams\, and the team with the lowest score wins (1st place = 1 point\, 2nd = 2 points). \nWinners of the team category will receive: \n\nAn On Cargo Bag\nOn Performance T-Shirt/Tank top\nOn Race Cap\nOn Performance Socks\n\nThe fastest shoes from On will be available to demo during and after the race and once the race is finished there will be refreshments and a brief awards ceremony to celebrate the winning teams. \nRegister for the event here! \nLocation: Icahn Stadium

DESCRIPTION:The International Coastal Clean Up is an annual event that helps us keep our shoreline free of marine plastics and refuse! \nJoin members from the community and different partners for our annual coastal cleanup with us and the Ocean Conservancy.
