Randall’s Island Park has a rich history of hosting cultural events and continues to do so today. Throughout the year, RIPA provides numerous free drop-in programs such as walking tours, movie nights, waterfront activities and our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals. In addition, large special events, produced by independent organizations other than the City and RIPA, offer visitors a great variety of exciting options – continuing the Island’s strong tradition as a central entertainment venue for New York City.

Randall’s Island Literary Club: World of Wonders Conversation Series
April 8 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Join the Randall’s Island Literary Club as we read Aimee Nezhukumatathil’s “World of Wonders” (Milkweed Press, 2020). In addition to a group conversation, the event will also feature speaking guests who will explore how Nezhukumatathil’s reflections relate to Randall’s Island Park. The discussions will be facilitated by Elizabeth Howard, Writer in Residence.
This week will feature special guest speaker, artist and horticulturist Rebecca Allan.

The online group will meet for 3 sessions from 6:30pm-7:30pm (EST): Thursday March 25, Thursday April 8 and Thursday April 22. We hope that you will decide to join us for all 3 sessions but each session will have its own theme, so please feel free to register for any or all of the sessions.
