Randall’s Island Park has a rich history of hosting cultural events and continues to do so today. Throughout the year, RIPA provides numerous free drop-in programs such as walking tours, movie nights, waterfront activities and our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals. In addition, large special events, produced by independent organizations other than the City and RIPA, offer visitors a great variety of exciting options – continuing the Island’s strong tradition as a central entertainment venue for New York City.

SUBMERGE Marine Science Festival

Join us for the seventh annual SUBMERGE Marine Science Festival! SUBMERGE celebrates our coastal waters by bringing marine science to life. For the first time ever, the Festival will stream online, offering a unique opportunity for people near and far to engage with New York’s dynamic marine environment. This FREE online festival is a day of interactive science that invites the public to enjoy awesome experiments, kid-approved science entertainment and experience the important work our partners do in the field.
