Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. Urban Farm Exploration Day

An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until September 24, 2016
The one-acre Urban Farm at Randall’s Island Park offers a wide variety of organically grown fruits and vegetables. With over 80 raised beds, two greenhouse, a milk-crate container garden, a trellis tunnel for gourds and climbing vines, and even rice paddies, the Farm presents a wide array of crops, varieties, and growing methods to visitors of all ages. Drop by to see the beautiful variety for yourself and learn about RIPA’s efforts to promote healthy, informed, and conscientious eating habits. The Urban Farm is open for public Exploration Days every Saturday, June to September, from 11 am – 3 pm.
