Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Waterfront Festival
July 22 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Celebrate water, science, and nature at Randall’s Island annual Waterfront Festival! Learn about water as a natural resource with Science in the City, have your face painted by Sheila Jordan Art & Entertainment, and jump through a human-sized bubble with Bubbledad. We’ll have live music by Gloria Anderson and Friends, a dance performance by Artichoke Dance Company, food for purchase, and limited free summer treats! Engage in water-themed activities and crafts with community partners including Clearwater, RIPA’s own education teams, and more. We’ll also have a sensory space for everyone looking to take a break from the festivities and cool down. All ages are welcome!
