World Science Day
June 4, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

This week long festival takes science “out of the laboratory and right into the streets” by celebrating scientific inquiry and achievement. Randall’s Island will be celebrating with a fish count on the Island. Participants are invited to put on waders, grab nets, and get in the water as we seine for fish and other creatures in the waters around Randall’s Island. We will be learning about the many species of fish and invertebrates that call the waters that surround the Island home!
All ages and experience levels are welcome to join our Natural Areas Team and partners from the Hudson River Estuary Program to learn more about the fascinating underwater habitats on Randall’s Island.
