Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Join BobbyTheExperience at Fitness on the Island to engage in self-imposed physical struggle that will provide clarity of the mind, and strengthening of the body through hard work, exercise, fun, and camaraderie. Jesse Owens Track and Field Youth Program
RIPA's Jesse Owens Track and Field Program, offered in partnership with City Parks Foundation, enables kids to learn the fundamentals of the sport and stay active. This free weekly track and field youth program is available to youth ages 10-16 and is held Saturdays from 10 AM–12 PM. Activities will focus on running techniques for sprints and relays and will introduce other track and field activities like long jump, hurdles, and javelin. Beginners welcome! Registration required.
