Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Cherry Blossom and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully.

Volunteer with our team to manage our one-acre Urban Farm! Whether you are new to our Farm or have been a tried-and-true weekly volunteer, come and join us on the Farm. No registration needed. Walk, run, or jog in this "icahnic" stadium at our free community track night! Join us the second Thursday of each month from 7-8:30 starting July 14 on the track at Icahn Stadium—a track that has hosted the Olympic Trials and seen records set by Jesse Owens, Meseret Defar, and Usain Bolt! Runners of all abilities are welcome but must be 18 or older to participate. Local running groups will provide optional workouts. Location: Icahn Stadium

(Be)Tween Time is a free monthly event series for young people ages 8-13 who want to meet and hang out with other tweens at the Randall's Island Urban Farm. Register here. This hands-on and interactive workshop will cover the basics of cut flower growing and sustainable floral arranging. Join farmer and florist Cassandra Cronin from Run Rig Farm Project in harvesting and arranging flowers straight from the farm and leave with a lovely arrangement or two you've created yourself. While working, discussion will center around the edible, medicinal, and ecological properties of the flowers, herbs, and foliage used in the arrangements.
