Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. City of Water Day at Randall’s Island Park

Celebrate City of Water Day with a full day of water-themed activities at the Randall’s Island Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh! Explore paths within the marsh guided by our Educators, and board a kayak with HarborLAB to paddle throughout the Little Hell Gate inlet, one of the Harlem River’s premier natural preserves. Follow the river breeze over to the paved lot and play a summertime game of pickleball, then make your own quick pickles with fresh cucumbers from the farm!
