Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 300 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Fireworks & Fun

Kick off the summer season at Randall’s Island Park with an evening of fireworks and fun! Celebrate the spirit of the World Cup with a special youth soccer clinic while also enjoying live music, dancing, games, and family-friendly activities ahead of the Astoria Park fireworks display at dusk (fireworks courtesy of Central Astoria, LDC). Relax afterward with a front-row seat for the fireworks!
Program Schedule:
- Live Music from Hiro Band from 6 – 7 PM
- Youth Soccer Clinic with South Bronx United from 6 – 7 PM
- Japanese Folk Dance Institute Performance from 7 – 7:30 PM
- Bomba Dance Class from Sweet Water Dance & Yoga from 7:30 – 8:30 PM
