Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 300 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Foraged Fiber Arts Workshop
August 22 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us at the Randall’s Island Urban Farm to discover the art of natural fiber making. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to craft plant materials into cordage, and about the historical significance of fiber-making. Join us for an afternoon focused on the many functional and creative applications of plants found in the park!
Registration is required; opens 8/8 at 1 PM.
