Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Join an experienced bird guide from NYC Audubon to tour Randall’s Island Park in search of fleeting, feathered friends at the beginning of spring! Let’s Go Birding Together tours are for anyone who loves birds, likes birds, is vaguely interested in birds, or just wants something fun and different to do outdoors. We welcome those who identify as LGBTQIA+, allies, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy an outdoor experience that is inclusive and informative. Participants can borrow binoculars!
