Randall’s Island Events

Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Special Urban Farm Open Hours

Kick off the summer season at Randall’s Island Park with an evening of fireworks and fun with special evening Open Hours at our Urban Farm! Join us for self-guided exploration, discover a variety of fruits and vegetables, an active composting system, and a Tot Lot designed for our youngest friends before the Astoria Park fireworks display at dusk (fireworks courtesy of Central Astoria, LDC). Relax afterward with a front row seat for the fireworks.

Take a bite of Chef Ben’s Tangy Kale Slaw made with produce grown on the Urban Farm and learn how to recreate the recipe at home. Relax afterward with a front row seat for the fireworks.
