Events
Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. Spotted Lanternfly Egg Hunt
April 15 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Have you heard the rumors about the Spotted Lanternfly? It’s true—they’re back and more prominent than ever. Join the RIPA team for a program merging volunteering with public awareness and building community. Participants will learn about the Spotted Lanternfly and how to identify and remove its eggs from trees and structures within the park, then put their knowledge to use within the park. After satisfyingly removing as many egg masses as time and energy allow, we’ll celebrate with a warm bonfire and hot chocolate. Look forward to a fun and learned afternoon complete with totes and temporary tattoos! All ages are welcome.
Location: Meet at the Freshwater Wildflower Meadow
