This May, we are bringing art back to Randall’s Island Park! As part of NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program and in partnership with Taglialatella Galleries, RIPA is excited to unveil two art installations by artist Rubem Robierb at Randall’s Island Park – Peace Makers and Dream Machine II.

About the artwork

Peace Makers & Dream Machine II

Internationally known Brazilian-American visual artist Rubem Robierb has created a 10-foot painted fiberglass and stainless steel sculpture entitled Peace Makers and a fiberglass sculpture with steel base entitled Dream Machine II – both of which will be displayed in the Park from May 2021 – May 2022. Peace Makers is inspired by recent and ongoing worldwide protests for racial justice and will be located near the 103rd Street Footbridge. Dream Machine II is a tribute to the human spirit, symbolizing strength and resilience in the face of immense challenges, and will be located near the Bronx Shore Picnic Area.
