Randall’s Island Events
Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 300 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Birding Adventure at Randall’s Island Park
August 18 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Come discover Randall’s Island Park! At the Living Shoreline birdwatchers will see swallows catching insects and returning to their nest boxes to feed growing fledglings.
We will watch songbirds nibble on fruits and forage for invertebrates in the brush. In the Harlem River we’ll see cormorants, gulls, and ducks, herons, and egrets in the water or flying overhead.
