Randall’s Island Events
Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 300 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Kick off the spring sports season with Randall’s Island Park Alliance at our free 80’s Fields Community Field Day! We’re celebrating the reopening of our newly restored athletic fields and inviting families and kids to come play, explore, and enjoy a fun-filled day outdoors during Spring Recess. Featured activities include:
- Soccer clinics with New York City FC and South Bronx United
- Lacrosse Clinics with Doc’s and Predator’s Lacrosse
- Rec ball with SportimeNY and the Johnny Mac Tennis Project
- On the Move with New York Road Runners
- Recess Games with Asphalt Green
- DJ
- Crafting and Education with Randall’s Island Park Alliance
- Free ice cream and snacks for the first 500 attendees
Enjoy the new fields, connect with local recreation providers, and spend the day playing and celebrating with your community.
Randall’s Island Park is a place for youth sports and outdoor fun all year long. Join us to celebrate the 80’s Fields reopening and the start of a fun, active spring season!
