Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Community Track Night
Walk, run, or jog in this “icahnic” stadium at our free community track night! Join us on the track at Icahn Stadium—a track that has hosted the Olympic Trials and seen records set by Jesse Owens, Meseret Defar, and Usain Bolt! Follow your own training plan or join Harlem Run for a workout from 6:45 – 7:45pm. Runners of all abilities are welcome but must be 18 or older to participate.
