Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 300 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. International Coastal Cleanup

International Coastal Clean Up is an annual event that helps us keep our shoreline free of marine plastics and refuse!
Annual Coastal Shoreline cleanup for the community to help keep our waters free of marine microplastics and litter.
Join members from the community and different partners for our annual coastal cleanup with the Randall’s Island Park Alliance and the Ocean Conservancy. With miles of rocky coastline, Randall’s Island Park can always use a hand removing marine plastics, microplastics and litter that gather between the rocks and in our marshes.
Meeting at Icahn Stadium, volunteers will be sent to various places on the island to collect and record what they have removed from the island. Last year volunteers collected more than 500 lbs of litter and plastics permanently removing them from our water systems.
