Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Let’s Go Birding Together (LGBT)
March 28 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Join an experienced guide from NYC Bird Alliance for a free spring birding tour at Randall’s Island Park! Let’s Go Birding Together is open to anyone who loves birds, is curious about them, or simply wants a fun outdoor experience. Participants can borrow binoculars and enjoy spotting seasonal feathered friends while contributing to real scientific research through our Park-as-Lab program. All are welcome, especially the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, families and all who want to connect with nature!
