Randall’s Island Events
Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Team RIVER Volunteers
Volunteer with the Team RIVER (Randall’s Island Volunteer Ecological Restorers) and help keep Randall’s Island Park beautiful! Team RIVER Volunteers regularly work in with the Natural Areas team twice a month taking care of and restoring our natural spaces on the island. With our Horticulture team, volunteers care for the many gardens and meadows on the island every second Wednesday of each month. We also use volunteers to help with park maintenance and public events. If you are only able to volunteer on a limited basis, you are still very much welcome!
Volunteers must be at least 11 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their legal guardian before starting any work. Children under 16 must also have an adult with them while volunteering (please contact [email protected] for a copy of the waiver).
Registration is required: Team RIVER Volunteer Registration
Please note, this opportunity is for individuals and families. For information about bringing a community or corporate group, please visit our website and complete an interest form: Community and Corporate Volunteers
Location: various locations throughout the Island
