Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. The Open Invite 5K Powered by On

On Thursday, August 28th, Icahn Stadium is proud to host The Open Invite Powered by On, a team scored 5000m race with check-in time called for 5:30 PM and the race beginning at 7:00 PM.
The Open Invite is a team scored, cross-country style race with prizes up for grabs. Runners with their different teams of three will each race a 5k competing against other teams, and the team with the lowest score wins (1st place = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points).
The fastest shoes from On will be available to demo during and after the race and once the race is finished there will be refreshments and a brief awards ceremony to celebrate the winning teams.
