Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 300 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Waterfront Festival
July 18 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Celebrate the height of summer at the annual, free Randall’s Island Waterfront Festival! Enjoy a fun, family-friendly day along our scenic waterfront with water-themed educational activities, crafts, games, face painting, live performances, and more. With something happening all day long, there’s plenty to explore, learn, and enjoy for all ages. Join us in celebrating summer, water, and the community that brings us together.
There will be a free Bike Valet provided by Transportation Alternatives so you can safely park your bikes and enjoy the festivities with ease of mind.
Schedule:
12 – 2 PM: Live Music from Gloria Anderson and Friends
12 – 2 PM: Interactive Bubbling with BubbleDad
1 – 2 PM: Storytime Stretches with Lofty Heights Movement
1 – 2 PM: Salsa Class with Sweet Water Dance and Yoga
2 – 3: Live Puppet Theater from Arm of the Sea Theater
