Throughout the year, RIPA hosts over 200 free public events including tours, movie nights, waterfront activities, our annual Earth Day and Harvest Festivals and more. These family-friendly drop-in events play an integral role in helping Park visitors explore the Island’s varied points of interest. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. World Fish Migration Day
June 1 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join the Randall’s Island Park Alliance’s Natural Areas team as they seine for fish in the Harlem River to celebrate World Fish Migration Day! Learn about the many different species of fish found in the river and help us in the fish monitoring process by counting and measuring fish we capture in the net. All fish will then be released back into the river. Swing by any time between 11 AM and 2 PM on June 1 to experience the event.
