Celebrate Pride and More at Randall’s Island Park throughout June
Enjoy June at the Park with A Variety of Colorful Events
June marks the beginning of our summer programming that features a variety of fun events for all ages here at Randall’s Island Park.
Join us at the East River Picnic Area on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM on Sept. 2 and Sept. 9 for our free yoga sessions that will help keep you light and limber! Stretch, breathe, and take in a serene workout with our instructor Nautica Maldonado while watching the sunset on the Harlem River.
We host recurring volunteer programs for those who want to help keep our parks looking beautiful.
Join the Team RIVER Volunteer on Wednesdays from 9:30-12:30 PM, or volunteer at our Urban Farm on Sundays from 10:00-1:00PM.
On Saturdays, we continue our weekly 2026 Jesse Owens Track & Field Youth program for the Spring! We host this program every Saturday from 10 AM – 12 PM at Thomas Jefferson Park. This free weekly program is available to youth ages 8-16 and enables participants to learn the fundamentals of the sport and stay active.

Celebrate Pride Night at the Farm with some farm-fresh and free cocktails (21+) and mocktails on June 6 at 5 PM. This program celebrates and uplifts our LGBTQIA+ community members and partners and of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies are welcome. Attendees under 21 must be accompanied by an adult. IDs required.
The evening will feature drag shows and a raffle, and also allow you to learn more about our Urban Farm!
Follow up Pride Night by taking up a movie under the starts at our Movie Night on Field 62. Settle in with a blanket and get your Pride and World Cup vibes flowing with Bend It Like Beckham starting at sundown!
Icahn Stadium opens to the public on June 10 for our fan-favorite event, Community Track Night! Join us on the Icahn Stadium track, home to past Olympic Trials, records set by Jesse Owens, Meseret Defar, and Usain Bolt, and this year’s site for the USA Track and Field Championships. Follow your own training plan or join Harlem Run for a workout from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Runners of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to attend (must be 18 or older to participate).
June 13 holds two firsts for our season with Salt Marsh Saturday and Food Demos on the Urban Farm.
Drop in to explore the Little Hell Gate Salt Marsh as from 9 AM- 12 PM the marsh pathway gates on the boardwalk will be open and members of RIPA’s Natural Areas Team will be on site to answer questions, share interesting facts and show off some of the unique species of plants and animals that call this amazing and dynamic ecosystem home!
The Urban Farm will be hosting free food demonstrations to teach the community-at-large how to cook with the seasonal produce they can see growing on the farm!
Kick off the summer season at Randall’s Island Park with an evening of Fireworks and Fun! Enjoy an evening of live music, dancing, games, and activities before the Astoria Park fireworks display at dusk.
The month of June ends with our Pollinator Palooza celebration on June 27 at the Urban Farm.
Buzz over to the Urban Farm for a colorful afternoon of pollinator-themed afternoon of activities, games, crafts, and garden tours. Learn from our expert Horticulturalists about the work they do to plant and maintain the park’s gardens.
